Marisa is our Principal Invisalign® provider and top 1% provider in Europe – Diamond Apex Status here at Battersea Smiles.
Marisa graduated in 2005 from Queen Mary, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Having treated patients in both NHS and private practices in London and Cambridgeshire, she has extensive skills in all aspects of general dentistry and orthodontic treatments using brackets and wires, Six Month Smiles, Invisalign® and Fastbraces. Having completed post-graduate qualifications, training and courses, she has developed a real eye and passion for orthodontics and whitening.
Her real passion is smile design, and she designs with orthodontics to create beautiful smiles and enhance each person’s natural, unique beauty. Marisa is fully certified in the use of Invisalign® orthodontics and a Diamond provider of Invisalign® (highest accolade).
A recognised diamond Invisalign® provider, Dr Monteiro has successfully managed thousands of cases and is honoured to be recognised as a Top 150 Global Invisalign® provider, showcasing her mastery in orthodontics. She is also celebrated as a leading female entrepreneur in the dental industry, actively mentoring the next generation of professionals. Her dedication to excellence was further acknowledged when she was named the winner of the Private Practice Principal Award 2025, solidifying her position as a trailblazer in dentistry.
With 15 years of working in dentistry, she has an extensive portfolio of successful cases, ranging from very mild to very complex teeth-straightening cases. She is an active member of the British Dental Association and Invisalign® Academy, regularly participating in conferences at home and abroad, as well as in lectures and mentoring programmes with her peers.
Marisa is very popular with her patients and enjoys building a strong rapport during the treatment process to help make the process. This ensures she meets the patient’s treatment goals to achieve the best possible results and gives patients the confident smile they always wanted!
Outside of Battersea Smiles, Marisa is dedicated to continued professional development through a range of courses, reading material, and dental updates.
In her spare time, Marisa loves to travel, cook and spend quality time with her family and 2 little crazy daughters!
